Matt Campbell is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal Corporate Performance Improvement in New York and serves as Leader of the group’s Talent, Organization and People management practice. He specializes in talent and workforce strategy, organization models and design, complex organization transformation and change and human resource strategy and functional performance.
With more than 25 years of consulting and in-house operational experience, Mr. Campbell has worked with clients to understand and respond to the impacts of technology, remote work, new business models, evolving delivery methods and marketplace disruption on the workforce. Mr. Campbell has worked with clients across a range of industries, including financial services, healthcare, life sciences, technology, media, professional services, entertainment, hospitality, retail, energy and utilities and manufacturing.
Mr. Campbell’s notable assignments as a lead thinker in the future of work, workforce and workplace include: business-driven organization design, technology transformation, skills-based workforce modeling and planning, remote and hybrid working model adoption, employee value proposition development and experience improvement, leadership and technical competency assessment, reskilling programs and career path remapping, training, development and internal coaching and mentoring programs.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Campbell spent 11 years with KPMG Advisory’s People and Change and Human Capital practices in New York, where he most recently served as Managing Director.
Mr. Campbell earned a bachelor’s degree in human resources and hotel management from Griffith University and a master’s degree in organizational dynamics from RMIT University.
