Jim McAlpin is an accomplished law firm leader with extensive board experience. For almost forty years, Jim has advised business owners, management teams and boards of directors on strategic, financial, regulatory and governance matters. Jim is a senior partner at the international law firm of Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner LLP and he was the Chairman and Managing Partner of Atlanta-based Powell Goldstein LLP before its merger with Bryan Cave in 2009. Jim subsequently served on the Executive Committee of Bryan Cave and led the firm’s banking practice for ten years. He serves on the boards of two banks in Pennsylvania and Missouri, as well as the board of a private company in Nashville, Tennessee. Jim is a frequent speaker on the topics of corporate governance and board best practices.
