Eddie Borrero is the vice president and chief information security officer at Blue Shield of California, a nonprofit health plan that serves 4.6 million members in the state. He is responsible for driving the IT security strategy to support the growth and digital transformation of the organization, as well as building trust among the consumers and mitigating information security risks. He also leads the integration of security controls through a DevSecOps approach of automation and development.
