Christiana Smith Shi is the former president of Nike Inc. global direct-to-consumer, where she led Nike’s retail and e-commerce businesses globally and grew the business to $8 billion during her tenure. She came to Nike after spending 24 years with McKinsey & Co., where she was a trailblazer for flexible career paths and was the first senior partner elected on a part-time program. Smith Shi is a recognized leader in the retail sector and a frequent speaker on topics like e-commerce, global retailing, and women’s career development. She recently coauthored the national best-selling book Career Forward: Lessons from Women Who’ve Made It.

Smith Shi retired from Nike in 2016 and is currently serving on the boards of UPS Inc. and Columbia Sportswear Co. She previously served on the boards of Mondelēz International, Williams-Sonoma Inc., and West Marine. She is the founder of Lovejoy Advisors LLC, an advisory services firm focused on digitally transforming consumer and retail businesses. Smith Shi is also the vice chair of Habitat for Humanity International and has participated in many Habitat building efforts in the United States and abroad.
