Mr. Lachenauer has more than 20 years of executive search experience and has completed several hundred CEO, executive and board director search assignments. He has assisted clients at companies ranging from the Fortune 100 to early-stage venture capital-backed startups, in technology and technology-related industries in all regions of the world.

His experience includes leading a practice in the technology sector and serving as a country manager in an international office.

Before his career in executive search, Mr. Lachenauer enjoyed a broad set of experiences. He began his career with IBM and later joined a private equity firm, serving as CEO of one of the portfolio companies. Just prior to beginning in executive search, Mr. Lachenauer helped grow and ultimately sold an early-stage wireless technology company.

Mr. Lachenauer presents in a variety of forums on topics ranging from the war for talent to board governance.

He is a graduate of Northwestern University with a B.A. in economics and earned an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. He was a founding member of the board of directors of Octane, a non-profit business launch pad that has helped create hundreds of companies and thousands of jobs. Mr. Lachenauer serves on the board of directors of Immaculate Heart Media, Inc.
