Tori Hack

Senior Manager, ESG & Sustainability Services, EY

Tori is a Senior Manager within EY’s Climate Change and Sustainability Services (CCaSS) practice located in San Jose, California. She originally joined EY’s financial audit practice in 2012. During her involvement in financial audit, she provided assurance services primarily to technology clients. Over the last 10 years, Tori has specialized in non-financial reporting assurance and advisory services. She has led dozens of non-financial assurance engagements. These projects have covered a variety of metrics, including but not limited to Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions, energy consumption, renewable energy, water withdrawals, diversity and employee engagement metrics. She has overseen assurance engagements conducted at both a review and examination level of assurance, following the AICPA’s attestation standards. In an advisory role, Tori has assisted numerous clients in advancing their sustainability reporting strategies and disclosures, by leading ESG (environmental, social, governance) materiality assessments, performing data gap assessments, guiding data collection and calculation efforts, as well as drafting ESG disclosures. She has extensive knowledge of the various ESG reporting frameworks, the CSRD’s ESRS (European Sustainability Reporting Standards), GRI (Global Reporting Initiative), SASB (Sustainability Accounting Standards Board), and TCFD (Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures). Tori has served both public and private clients across a variety of industries. She frequently presents on the topic of ESG at conferences, webinars and training events. She has supported the development of training materials for SASB, as well as contributed to the development of EY’s Sustainability Assurance Methodology (SAM). She represents EY as an active member on the Silicon Valley Leadership Group’s Environment and Energy Committee and is also a member of the Board of Fellows and Young Alumni Accounting Advisory Board for her alma mater, Santa Clara University.
