Susan Paley serves as Advisor to NACD, the nation’s premier organization for board members. She previously served in leadership roles at NACD for more than a dozen years, including as Vice President, Chapter Network where she and her team empowered volunteer leaders across the country to deliver world class content to directors in 35 cities. Susan is a host of NACD’s podcast BoardVision, authors content for the association, and speaks on a number of topics including how executives can best position themselves for board service. A former television script writer, producer, and casting director, Susan spent time on staff at the BBC, Discovery (Europe), and C-SPAN. She is founder of Bright Spots Coaching LLC and is certified by the International Coaching Federation. Susan holds a B.A. in international relations and communications from Tufts University. She lives in the Washington DC area.
