Samta Kapoor is a principal in San Francisco, California with over twenty years of experience in data and Al to help organizations make data-driven decisions to drive organizational change and deliver value responsibly. She is a strategic problem solver with proficiency in data and Al strategy, data management, ESG, responsible Al and governance. She applies cross-industry insights to overcome new challenges with outstanding results.

As the EY Americas Energy Al and Trusted Al Leader, Samta is a technology evangelist for Fortune 500 companies. She is fundamental in shaping how organizations approach Al to achieve the extraordinary with trust and ethics at the forefront. She brings a unique passion for helping organizations use data/Al/ML to innovate, create new products and services and optimize business processes. 

Previously responsible for O&G, mining and utilities data and Al West business totaling to $230m, while creating and executing data strategies to overcome data silos and deliver business value which led to 3 new revenue streams for one particular client Conceptualized and built Data and Al Studio from the ground up to solve for innovation, scaling Al and building advanced analytics solutions.

Samta is a thought leader in the industry being quoted in various media outlets including CNBC.com, FOX Business News, and TechTarget. She also served as a key spokesperson in the   2023 EY Al Anxiety in Business research. She's been a featured speaker at Stanford and receives invitations to speak at 4+ conferences annually. 

Samta was the recipient of Women Leader in Data and Al Award in 2021, and is a member of the exclusive network of women senior leaders in data and Al. She is also a member of Chief. 

She is the recipient of San Francisco business times 40 under 40. 

A first-generation immigrant, Samta is building a non-profit to solve for world hunger by connecting different parts of the world. The pilot is between Mumbai, India and San Francisco, CA. 

Samta holds an M.B.A. from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, an M.E.M. from Duke University's Pratt School of Engineering, and a B.E. in Telecommunications Engineering from Mumbai University's Mahatma Gandhi Missions' College of Engineering. Samta is also a member of Women Leaders in Data and AI (WLDA).
