Courtney is an Insights Leader for the EY Geostrategic Business Group that drives market-leading insight around geopolitics, corporate performance, and political risk management. She is a recognized thought leader in political risk and global macro trends, with an emphasis on analyzing the strategic implications for companies. In her previous role, Courtney managed the thought leadership program of the A.T. Kearney Global Business Policy Council. She led a team of researchers to analyze geopolitical, macroeconomic, technological, and other developments in the external environment and identify emerging trends with strategic business implications. She also spent several years at Eurasia Group, a leading political risk consultancy, where she designed and implemented qualitative and quantitative methodologies for political risk assessments. Earlier in her career, Courtney priced political risk insurance and worked on political campaigns. She has co-authored a chapter in the 2013 edition of the Handbook of Country and Political Risk Analysis and has been a contributor to the World Economic Forum’s Global Risks Report.
