In today’s fast-paced economic climate, it is of critical importance that directors be familiar with the heart of the company—the operations. This webinar will discuss processes from improving communications with senior management to gaining first-hand product knowledge that directors can utilize to facilitate a thorough understanding of operations.

Speaker Spotlight

Stuart R. Levine (moderator) is a director of Broadridge Financial Solutions, Inc., Single Touch Systems, Inc. and lead director for J. D'Addario & Company, Inc. Mr. Levine also serves on the boards of North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System, The Nature Conservancy, and American College of Physicians. His prior directorships include European American Bank, The Olsten Corporation, and New York State Excelsior Quality Board. He is the founder and CEO of Stuart Levine and Associates.

Thomas G. Plaskett is chairman and CEO of Fox Run Capital Associates. He also is a director of RadioShack Corporation and Signet Jewelers, Ltd., among several other companies. A member of NACD, Mr. Plaskett served on the founding board of its North Texas Chapter. Additionally, he served as independent director on nine other public company boards, including Alcon, Inc. He has served as nonexecutive chair on three boards and as presiding director on two boards. Previously, Mr. Plaskett was CEO of Pan Am Corporation and Continental Airlines, as well as chief marketing officer and chief financial officer of American Airlines.

Robert Schifellite is president, Investor Communications Solutions, of Broadridge Financial Solutions, Inc. As president, Mr. Schifellite is responsible for financial and operational results, leading over 1,000-plus associates, and bringing new products to the marketplace. Prior to joining Broadridge, Mr. Schifellite was senior vice president and chief operating officer at the Independent Election Corporation of America. Before then, he was a senior auditor with Deloitte & Touche. He also serves on the board of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation’s Long Island chapter.
