Bruce G. Vanyo is head of Katten's Securities Litigation and Enforcement practice and a member of the firm's board of directors. Prior to joining Katten, Vanyo was chair of the Securities Litigation Group at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati for 22 years. Earlier, he handled securities fraud, antitrust, and other complex litigation at McCutchen, Doyle, Brown & Enersen. Vanyo has represented some of the most prominent US companies, including The Boeing Company, Dell Computer, Hewlett Packard, Genentech, and Bank of America, and has a remarkable record of success. Vanyo created and drafted for Congress the pleading and safe harbor provisions of the Private Securities Litigation Reform Act of 1995. This year, the National Law Journal named Vanyo a Litigation Trailblazer for his work in pioneering much of the securities law that has been favorable to defendants.
