Aeisha Mastagni is a portfolio manager within the Corporate Governance Unit of the California State Teachers’ Retirement System (CalSTRS), the nation’s largest teacher retirement fund. Before joining CalSTRS, Mastagni worked in the Corporate Governance Unit of the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS) for six years, where she oversaw the proxy voting program and the corporate governance manager portfolio. Prior to CalPERS, she worked in the operations department of Salomon Smith Barney before moving to Morgan Stanley as a financial advisor and assistant operations manager. Mastagni joined the board the Golden 1 Credit Union in 2012, and in 2015, Mastagni joined the board of the Council of Institutional Investors. Mastagni was named one of the “40 Under 40, Freshest Talent at the World’s Largest Asset Owners” by aiCIO magazine for two years in a row.
Bentham (Ben) W. Stradley is a managing partner of Pay Governance LLC. Stradley assists clients in developing and governing executive pay arrangements in a manner that reinforces business priorities and aligns management and investor interests over the long term. He also helps clients to consider the implications of regulatory issues relating to the design and governance of their programs, including disclosure, taxation, accounting, and equity-incentive award valuation.
