Jane E. Henney was Commissioner of Food Drugs at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and previously served as their deputy commissioner for operations. She also has served as deputy director with the National Cancer Institute of the National Institutes of Health. Henney was elected to the Institute of Medicine of the National Academy of Sciences in 2000, where she chairs a number of study committees and is home secretary. She is a fellow of the American College of Health Care Executives. Henney serves on the board of directors of the China Medical Board. She is a lead director of the AmerisourceBergen Corp., and she also chairs the nominating and governance committee for Cigna Corp. She was named to the NACD Directorship 100 in 2011 and 2012.

Scott Lenet cofounded Touchdown Ventures in 2014. He began his venture capital career in 1992 as the first associate at Geocapital Partners, a late-stage venture capital firm focused on technology investments. In 2002, he cofounded DFJ Frontier, an early-stage fund making West Coast investments for the DFJ Network. Lenet also worked in product marketing for Trilogy Software and was the cofounder and CEO of SmartFrog.com, which was acquired by Cybergold. Lenet also cofounded the Entrepreneurship Center at the University of California, Davis (UC Davis(, where he was an adjunct for seven years at the Graduate School of Management. Rima Qureshi is a former senior vice president, head of Region North America, and chief strategy officer for Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson (Ericsson). Prior to joining Ericsson, Qureshi was an IT consultant in various public and private enterprises. Her career in Ericsson started in R&D and has spanned leadership roles in product management, sales, and services. In addition to serving as head of a Business Unit, she has successfully managed acquisitions including Nortel Carrier Networks. Qureshi has extensive global management experience, having led organizations in the Americas, Europe, Asia, and globally. In addition to her business responsibilities, Qureshi led Ericsson Response, an employee volunteer program that provides technical expertise in humanitarian response scenarios, for 10 years, working closely with various United Nations agencies. Silvio Tavares is president of the board and CEO of The CardLinx Association. Prior to CardLinx, Tavares was senior vice president and global head of Information Products at Visa Inc. He joined Visa from First Data where he was senior vice president and global head of Information and Analytics. At First Data, he patented and launched SpendTrend™, First Data’s U.S. macroeconomic spending indicator. Tavares began his career at AT&T where he authored one of the earliest business method patents for web-based payments. He also held senior level positions at ABN AMRO Investment Bank in London and he was an attorney at Shearman & Sterling. Tavares has authored more than fifteen granted or pending patents in the fields of digital commerce, electronic payments, and payments analytics. He is a director of CPI Card Group.

Silvio Tavares is president of the board and CEO of The CardLinx Association. Prior to CardLinx, Tavares was senior vice president and global head of Information Products at Visa Inc. He joined Visa from First Data where he was senior vice president and global head of Information and Analytics. At First Data, he patented and launched SpendTrend™, First Data’s U.S. macroeconomic spending indicator. Tavares began his career at AT&T where he authored one of the earliest business method patents for web-based payments. He also held senior level positions at ABN AMRO Investment Bank in London and he was an attorney at Shearman & Sterling. Tavares has authored more than fifteen granted or pending patents in the fields of digital commerce, electronic payments, and payments analytics. He is a director of CPI Card Group.

He has testified before Congress. Cook has served on more than thirty for-profit and nonprofit boards and commissions. Currently, he is an advisory director of the Neely Center for Business Ethics at the University of Southern California, and chair of Vineyard Enterprises LLC.

Payment, Cancellation, and Transfer Policy

Event registrations are not guaranteed until payment is received. Each cancelled registration will be assessed a $500 cancellation fee. Cancellations must be received in writing no fewer than 30 calendar days before the event start date in order to qualify for a partial refund. If written notice is given within 29 calendar days of the event start date, registrants will forfeit the entire program fee unless it is transferred to another NACD program pursuant to the following transfer policy.

Application for transfer credit must be received within 30 calendar days of the date on which NACD receives written notice of cancellation. Transferred credit (less the $500 cancellation fee) will apply only to eligible NACD programs that occur within 12 months of a cancellation.
