Cathy is vice president and head of corporate issuer product and strategy for Broadridge’s Investor Communications Solutions (ICS) division. In this role, Cathy leads the development, implementation, and delivery of a comprehensive product and market strategy to achieve Broadridge’s Corporate Issuer revenue and EBIT targets. Cathy is also responsible for the development and execution of the Corporate Issuer Strategy, ensuring alignment with Broadridge’s leadership position in proxy communications and in continuing to gain the support of companies for Broadridge’s role in the proxy process. She spearheads the Corporate Issuer product organization to drive product development, product execution and results and identifies and drives growth through acquisition.

Director, TopBuild, John Burns Real Estate Consulting

Margaret Whelan is CEO of Whelan Advisory LLC. Whelan has also served as managing director and senior coverage partner in the Real Estate and Lodging group within the investment bank at JPMorgan Chase & Co. She was a managing director and stock analyst at USB, and was global head of USB’s Housing Research. More recently, she ran the finance group of a fast-growth, publicly traded, real estate private equity firm. She started her career at Merrill Lynch. She is a director of TopBuild and John Burns Real Estate Consulting. Whelan was a member of Institutional Investor’s All-America Research Team from 2002 to 2007 and was recognized by Forbes as among Wall Street’s Best Stock Pickers and Best Analysts over the same period. She currently holds the FINRA Series 7 and 79 licenses. Whelan is a financial expert as defined by Section 407 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002.

She is a former Board Director at Deckers Brands (NYSE: DECK), where she chaired two committees: Compensation and Nominating/Governance. Her background is in marketing at Gillette (P&G), Levi’s, and Mattel, where she helped launch many new products and increased shareholder value. She advises CEO’s and boards on strategy and new technologies for increasing global growth. Ms. Conners has spoken about the implications of major new technologies at The NACD CES Experience Deloitte’s Board Director Symposium and at several NACD Chapter. Additionally, she has spoken on Consumer and Retail Tech at several industry Conferences. Her article on The Innovation Era’s Implications for Boards was recently published in NACD Directorship magazine. She also serves on the NACD Northern California Board.

Judy Warner is editor in chief of NACD Directorship magazine. A journalist for more than 30 years, Warner joined the Directorship team in 2007 as managing editor from ComAve LLC, an independent content management firm she co-founded and operated for eight years. Before that, Warner was New England bureau chief of Adweek magazine for 10 years. She began her journalism career in the newsroom of The Boston Globe as an editorial assistant then contributing reporter. Warner graduated from Northeastern University with a BS in journalism.
