Robert E. Bostrom is senior vice president, general counsel, and corporate secretary of Abercrombie & Fitch Co. Bostrom joined Abercrombie & Fitch from Greenberg Traurig. Previously he was with SNR Denton. Before that, he served as executive vice president, general counsel, and corporate secretary of Freddie Mac. Prior to his work with Freddie Mac, Bostrom served as the managing partner of the New York office of Winston & Strawn LLP. Prior to that, he was executive vice president of Legal, Regulatory, and Compliance and general counsel of National Westminster Bancorp (NatWest). He is a director of NeuLion Inc. and a past director of NatWest Bank (Delaware) and Coutts International. Among his many awards is the 2016 New York Stock Exchange Governance Series Distinguished General Counsel Award.

Erin Essenmacher serves as the chief programming officer for the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), responsible for oversight and execution of more than 60 education programs and events a year. Essenmacher is also an award-winning writer, director, and producer with nearly 20 years of experience in writing, research, outreach, and broadcast and non-broadcast production. She has written, directed, and produced films for PBS, The Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, the History Channel, and Court TV. She is chair emeritus of Women in Film and Video of Washington, D.C.’s board, and serves on the board of Gandhi Brigade.

D’Anne Hurd is a qualified financial expert and ESG/sustainability authority with more than two decades of experience serving on and consulting to boards of public, private, and family-owned companies. She recently joined the board of EILEEN FISHER Inc. as its first independent director and chairs its nominating and governance committee. Hurd also chairs the board of Monzite Corp., sits on the audit committee of Pax World Funds and Pax Ellevate Funds, chairs the audit committee of Peckham Industries Inc., and is serving a second term on the board of Camp Dudley. She was lead independent director for Hiperos, a cloud-based, software-as-a-service supply chain and third-party governance, risk, and compliance solutions provider. Hurd previously served on the boards of public companies in the technology, pharmaceuticals, and defense industries. Her business background includes roles as COO, CFO, and general counsel for six rapidly growing, Boston-based technology companies.

Lam was named Risk Manager of the Year by the Global Association of Risk Professionals in 1997 and one of the “100 Most Influential People in Finance” by Treasury & Risk magazine in 2005, 2006, and 2008. He leads the Board Advisory Services faculty in providing counsel to board leaders and C-suite executives on a wide range of strategic governance matters. Walker has served as a senior executive or general counsel to entities ranging from private equity backed corporations to the Fortune 100. Steve also served as an Attorney-Advisor to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission from 2001 to 2004. Walker is a frequent public speaker on the topics of board governance, performance, composition, and strategic influence. He currently sits on the boards of Objective Interface Systems Inc. and ContractRoom. He has served on the Orange Bowl Committee, the Association of Corporate Counsel–Michigan Chapter, and the Friends of the Gusman Center for the Performing Arts–Miami. Walker has been designated a Board Leadership and Governance Fellow by NACD.

The National Association of Corporate Directors is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Payment, Cancellation, and Transfer Policy

Event registrations are not guaranteed until payment is received. Each cancelled registration will be assessed a $500 cancellation fee. Cancellations must be received in writing no fewer than 30 calendar days before the event start date in order to qualify for a partial refund. If written notice is given within 29 calendar days of the event start date, registrants will forfeit the entire program fee unless it is transferred to another NACD program pursuant to the following transfer policy.

Application for transfer credit must be received within 30 calendar days of the date on which NACD receives written notice of cancellation. Transferred credit (less the $500 cancellation fee) will apply only to eligible NACD programs that occur within 12 months of a cancellation.
