Peter W. Kennedy

Peter Kennedy is a Principal with PRM Consulting Group in Washington, DC. Prior to joining PRM Consulting, Peter was Aon Consulting's Southeast Region Compensation Consulting Practice leader. Peter has had over 25 years of experience in conducting and managing consulting projects for a variety of employers in the private, nonprofit and public sectors. This includes the review, analysis, design, development, implementation, communication and administration of executive compensation, employee compensation, performance management, incentives and total rewards. He has also advised clients on employee benefit matters since 1980, managed the benefits administration outsourcing operation for ADP Benefit Services in Maryland, and served as the head of Aon Consulting's Baltimore and Bethesda offices.
He worked briefly for William M. Mercer and Towers Perrin before joining Williams, Thacher and Rand (WTR) in 1983. WTR became ADP Benefit Services in 1995. In 1997, Peter joined other former WTR principals to form the WTR Consulting Group. In 1998, the WTR Consulting Group joined Aon Consulting.
Mr. Kennedy has been a frequent speaker and panelist addressing the topic of executive compensation. He has undertaken compensation related consulting projects for a variety of companies and government agencies including; the Compensation Committees of GTSI, Inc., Chesapeake Utilities Corporation, Old Dominion Freight Lines, Independence Air, American Chemical Society, and PNM Resources, Inc.; United Airlines, the Nature Conservancy, Newmont Gold, the Department of Energy; the Commodity Futures Trading Commission; and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, among others.
Peter is an active volunteer, currently serving as a member of the Board of Trustees of InCharge Institute of America, Inc. where he chairs the Executive Compensation Committee. He also serves on the Board of the Capital Area Chapter of the National Association of Corporate Directors, and the Corporate Board of the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans.
Peter is a graduate of Oberlin College (Bachelor of Arts Degree in Government, 1975, with Honors) and the Sloan School of Management, M.I.T. (M.S.M. degree in economics and industrial relations, 1980).
Peter served as President of NACD’s Capital Area Chapter from 2007-2009. |
