The NACD Corporate Directors Institute maintains the following Continuing Education Menu in order to help directors and boards choose educational and awareness programs most appropriate to their tenure, strategic interests, and leadership roles. Programs vary in price, venue (both national and local), and degrees of intensity. The Certificate of Director Education must be renewed every 24 months by completing 16 total education credits. While the Certificate of Director Education is not a required prerequisite for this menu of continuing education programs, it is recommended. Selections Include:NACD Conferences and Seminars: Programs provide an in-depth, peer-based examination of leading practices and timely issues. Most programs assume participant knowledge of fiduciary duties and director roles and responsibilities. Subjects include issues of Corporate Strategy, Risk Oversight, Board Dynamics, Board Leadership, Compensation, Board/Shareholder Relations, and advanced Director Finance… PLUS in-depth programs for each key committee: Audit, Governance/Nominating and Compensation. Includes NACD Annual Corporate Governance Conference. Click here for current offerings. Custom In-Boardroom Programs: NACD customizes programs of any length and presents them in your boardroom. NACD can serve as a neutral resource for addressing critical board issues and aid in conducting board self-assessments. Current benchmarking data can be integrated as well. A full-day program provides 8 credits for all directors who participate. Click here to learn more about our In-Boardroom programs.
